Well it has been a week since my last post and I have been working on a project and getting myself setup for major production of dolls, ornaments, figurines etc.  I am just about finished with the Santa figurine.  I have attached a video to show you a preview of the project prior to completion.

Check it out but be aware that it is not completely finished.  I need feedback on these things as I don't have a clue if what I am doing appeals to anyone else but me.  I love them but I can't keep all of them.   The web cam does not make me look at all good but I guess I will have to work on that.

I will keep you posted.

Getting Started

Well this is my first post which will launch my new art endeavors.   I was surprised when I first picked up polymer clay, in September of 2010, that I had some artistic talent.  I started doing Santa head Christmas ornaments, Angels and Santa pins and then exhibited at some local craft fairs.  I was very pleased that most of my items sold and that people were very interested in what I was creating.

I have. a good friend Dennis Brown who is a well known polymer clay artist.  (Check out DennisBrownArtist.com) who was so generous to show me some new techniques and has been so encouraging that I can't help but to continue to see where this new road will take me.

Some of my first santa ornaments are still in the closet and that is where they will stay as a reminder of how far I have come.  The picture in this post is one of the ornaments that really got me jazzed about clay work.

I am working on a new project a full body Woods Elf.  I will post pictures soon.

Thanks for checking this out :)  Billie Jo
